Carmen Romero is a celebrated flamenco dance artist and teacher based in Toronto, known for her powerful presence and transformative instruction. She has taught across Canada, offering workshops that explore every aspect of flamenco and Spanish dance—including bata de cola, bastón, castanets, flamenco structure, creation, and improvisation. As the Associate Curator of the Aga Khan Museum’s Duende: International Flamenco Festival, she brings world-class flamenco to Canadian audiences. Carmen has even coached international superstar Shakira, a testament to her expertise and artistry.
