Dancer
Anna Baerg
Anna was born and raised in Kelowna, B.C. and started dancing with Tanya Vadurova at Mission Dance Centre at the age of nine years old. During these years she had the opportunity to perform in corps and soloist roles with the school in their various classical, flamenco, modern, and jazz productions. Through these performance experiences and the unmatched support of the school she fell in love with the art of classical dance.
Most recently, Anna spent three years training in Brussels, Belgium with Brussels International Ballet, where she has had the opportunity to train under the direction of Anderson Santana, further developing her technique and performing on stages around the country.
She has performed in three seasons of Swan Lake in the corps de ballet, Act 1 Valse, Mazurka, and Hungarian dance, two seasons of The Nutcracker in Waltz of the Snowflakes, Waltz of the Flowers and the Arabian dance, as well as in the Pas de Quatre from Act 2 of La Bayadère, and new creations by remarkable teachers such as Olga Lakovlevskaya and Emilie Fagniez. She is thrilled to be returning to Canada to continue on her dance journey with OBT!
